1:15 - The Beef Slough Boys From the Mississippi bluff region, this acoustic band enjoys playing what has become known as "Sloughgrass", a gumbo-esque musical mixture of riverboat rags, stringband blues, free-range originals and early country classics. 2:00 - James Samuel "Cornbread" Harris, Sr. Local bluesman, "Cornbread" Harris has been laying down his own mixture of blues, jazz, heartfelt ballads, rhythm & blues, and Dixieland for more than sixty years in the Twin Cities area. He was chosen to represent Minnesota at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this past January. 3:00 - TREE FROG INTRODUCES - KRIS LAGER BAND Self proclaimed "Roots Revivalists", KLB is strongly rooted in the Blues and Rock and Roll but, has touches of barrelhouse Country, spicy Latin beats, cajun Zydeco, and energetic Gospel music. Recently, Indigenous front man Mato Nanji has hired these guys to be his nationally touring band and they have traveled from N.Y. to L.A., and Winnipeg to New Orleans playing a mix of his and their own original music. So here is your chance to see this unique, energetic, mid-western band on their way up.

The Ducks' wide-ranging songlist includes blues, rock, R&B, and jazz standards. 5:00 - Mike Hildebrandt and the Over-and-Back Band Fronted by Minnesota Rock/Country Music Hall of Fame fiddler Mike Hildebrandt, The Over & Back Band plays a wide variety of fiddle-oriented, high energy, Americana and gypsy style music reflecting Hildebrandt's varied background in bluegrass, swing, jazz, and classical styles. It's easy to see why this amazing quartet has been a favorite at Tree Frog for many years! |
